Prints

M.K. Sims worked as a printmaker (both independently and in the New York Graphic Workshop) during the 1960s and 70s and created numerous etchings and silkscreens. This body of work consists of a number of serial compositions that pushed the boundaries of the flat surface into three dimensions. By printing on many new surfaces and using experimental materials, Sims altered established concepts of what the limits and extensions of the art form were.
